It's just one random night where we decided to try Dubu Jib. We always passed this area, but I never had any desire to try this place. Honestly, this is part of "don't judge the book by the cover" thing. From outside, the place is somewhat shady and "ghetto". And I had just assumed this place specialized in sundubu. I mean to be fair, Jakarta is hot AF and if i crave for something soupy I'd go for hotpot. But after all the indecisiveness and resto hoping, we decided to give this place a shot. And i have to say I don't regret it at all. Their food taste in general has been localized (in a good way), they deep fried the chicken nicely, crunchy yet soft and tender inside. The sauce also has a kick. I like how thick the sundubu soup, some place just serve a red color watery soup, but this one has a deep flavor. I'm not a big fans of their chicken feet because I think it's too chewy, I like it dimsum style. Something that I missed is their banchan, their kimchi is good, their macaroni is a lil too sweet but their pancake is really good. Thin and crunchy, I'd love to go back and try their pancake. A lil info, the place might be inconsistent, apparently it's my friend's fave place and during his last visit, the meal was too salty. Well, I just hope during your visit, the chef has got married by now. (If you get my joke) #fernaventurapik#honestreview#dubujib#koreanfriedchicken#koreanfood#friedchiken#sundubu#yum#dakgangjeong
