If you’re craving for good rump of steak in a casual setting, Outback Steakhouse it the ultimate spot. Hints of American minimalist decor is well represented in their bar area and furnitures. Giant windows ensure a good amount of sunlight to warm the room.
To start with, their Crispy Mushrooms is a must have appetizer. As the name suggest, this dish needs no introduction, just dip in the sauce and you’ll get the idea. On the mains, their USDA Certified Angus Beef is the one to look out for. Find it in Toowoomba Topped Sirloin and their special Rockhampton rib eye.
Great preparation, good ingredients and well maintained consistency is something you can depend on at Outback. Making it the go-to restaurant for a good portion of steak.
I was in the mood for a big fat juicy burger and outback burgers came recommended. I ordered the typhoon burger and asked for medium rare. First of all, the burger looked pretty decent! As I bit into it the patty was too salty and the burger was not medium rare and overlooked. We ordered extra ranch sauce and even that was too salty! I often eat at the outback in ratu plaza which is about 10 times better. The onions however looked promising but they lacked any sort of flavor as if they are not seasoned enough. Sorry but this was disappointing beyond belief. I couldn't eat most of the food as it was just way too salty. Stick to the ratu plaza outback guys. Sometimes as a foodie there is nothing more upsetting then to crave for a burger and then be bitterly disappointed by the food experience.
We ordered prime steaks and it was great. Pork ribs also awesome. But when it comes to the waitresses....they greet with no smile, we need to ask many times for some sauces, tissues to a different staffs and takes time to get those while the restaurant wasn't crowded at all.
