Flying all the way from Hongkong to Jakarta is a cheesecake shop called Cheesess Cheesecake (Gosh, it’s so hard to spell it correctly). Despite its tiny size, the shop was visually pretty. Sadly, I didn’t grab a table on that day because it was quite late, and my family needed to go home soon. So instead, we decided to take one of the cheesecakes back with us.
New York Cheesecake (IDR 160K++)
A moist cake densely packed with cream cheese. The cheese flavour was goodly intense. Most suitable for people who idolise cheese. Considering the small cake that would only satisfy four “not actually hungry” people, the cake was a tad expensive. Even though, it did come with a lovely box.
Overall, the cheesecake’s texture was beautiful, but the cheese was too rich for me. On the other hand, my sister likes it much. So, I think it depends on the person, as we all have different taste buds. If I ever visit the shop at another time, I’d opted for the Nara Soufflé Cheesecake as recommended by Cheesess Cheesecake on Instagram.
