“The tom yam goong here is anything but watery — in place of the nondescript MSG taste found in too many a “Thai” soup, Chandara’s version of the classic dish is filled with a strong tomato flavor, with added kicks of sour lime and bright coriander. Each bowl contains a halved king prawn, with flesh too firm to be frozen. The fresh pickings in each shell soak up the balanced broth, as do the juicy paddy-straw mushrooms.” (Source: Web)
My friends recommended me this restaurant a week ago, so we were very hyped about going here with high expectations.
We ordered some Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Steamed Squid with shrimps stuffed inside, and some Spicy Beef Stew.
Have to say, they were not as special as we expected them to be. The spring rolls were to dry and the taste was just okay. The beef stew and steamed squid were good, it was just a bit too spicy for us. And as for pad thai, the rice noodle was a bit too thin.
The Thai Ice Tea was amazing tho! It was perfectly sweet, and the bitterness is just right! Exactly what we'd hoped for!
