Kaleyo is a short form for "Kalih" and "Ayo". "Kalih" in javanese language means Two and "ayo" is another word for inviting the customers to come and not only to buy one, but two.
The ambiance reminds me of a restaurant I visited during my holiday in Yogyakarta. The seating area is located in several big Javanese vernacular-style gazebos (pendopo). Guests sit on a big wooden bench, as if they would when having lunch in traditional warungs. Since the main dish offered here is duck dish, there are some wooden duck statues placed near the cashier, which look really cute.
The duck dishes are as exceptional as the chicken dishes. Bebek kremes is one of my favorite dishes here, best enjoyed with sambal mangga (mango chutney) and fried tempeh. If you are not into eating duck meat, you can choose one of the chicken dishes selection. They also offer fresh juices, as well as fancy frozen desserts.
