For Japanese, Christmas day is the time to go to KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). This tradition can be traced back to 1974 when they first launch their “Kurisumasu ni wa kentakki!” (Christmas is Kentucky!) marketing campaign. It was so successful that now you’ll see kids, teens, parents even elders and babies lined up on Christmas eve just to have some ‘finger lickin’ feast. Some of them even order months ahead to avoid the queue.
