Pizza Express

I'm a pizza purist. I never, never, never, ever put pineapples on my pizza. Then I went to pizza express (one of the best pizza place in town) and was offended that they decided to create a Hawaiian pizza as a part of their special menu this month. The chef convinced me to try it and though I was super skeptical about it, I ordered one. Ok. This is definitely not your average Hawaiian pizza. First of all, they didn't just put sliced pineapples on it, they made this tasty pineapple chutney which has a little kick in it, and it combines well with everything else. Now, "everything else "includes streaks of heavenly bresaola, red onion, mozzarella, basil, parsley, and Grana Padano. It's explosively good! Me and my partner finished the entire pan just the two of us. Another menu we tried was the Spaghetti Nero el salmone, which was squid ink spaghetti with pieces of smoked salmon in creamy white sauce. Also excellent. The pasta was cooked Al dente and the smoked salmon was flavourful. For dessert we ordered their dessert trio of cannula pannacota, pavlova and Nutella in puff pastry. A great ending to a lovely journey.
