Ahh, the wonderful social app that is Tinder! One of the fastest ways for people to socialise and meet new people, be it for being friends, friends-with-benefits, and even true love! Tinder has seen a rapid expansion in users and Bali is definitely a hot spot for this app, being an ultimate tourist destination and just a growing hub, filled with all sorts of people from all over the world.
So if you're in Bali and you're a Tinder user, where would you take your date to? It depends on what kind of vibes you'd like to set of course.
Here are some of our favourite picks to help you with some ideas to as to what kind of places you could bring your Tinder date to in Bali! Depending on the type of mood you want to set, these places should truly help you but only you can decide how the night will end!
This place is good if you want to be slightly away from the main, touristy and commercial crowds of Seminyak, Legian or Canggu as it's located about a 20 min car ride away from Sanur. This Beach Club boasts an awesome view, really good finger food and good menu for drinks.
You can choose to have a swim either in the open sea or the club's pool which is perfect for a little sunset chat over Tequilas! Good music, good vibes, might just end up with you having a good night!
If you and your date are big foodies, hey, why not a romantic sunset dinner at the very famous Menega Jimbaran? Sure it's a little touristy but it might work to your advantage if your date is new to Bali and especially if you're both seafood fans! The amazing food here will definitely expedite your conquest into making a new 'friend' for the night/week/month, plus the beautiful sunset with the live acoustic band playing will just set the mood right for the night!
If your date is the type who prefers a more casual, relaxed, party setting and where you can both strut your stuff and show your moves on the dancefloor, well, La Favela in Seminyak is definitely an option for you to consider! The club plays different types of music each night, but it's almost guaranteed to be filled with many party goers each time. Not the best place if you want to have conversations, but definitely a good one if you want to let your hair down and have drinks and dance the night away!
p.s. If the date doesn't go too well, hey there's always options for you in the club!
Another option if you prefer somewhere truly unique, slightly out of the way, and less crowded than most places in Ubud, is this beautiful restaurant right in the middle of a paddyfield, Cafe Pomegranate.
Though adventurous, it will set a slightly more romantic setting especially if you come in the evening, where it becomes completely dark (being 700m deep into the paddyfields) and you're surrounded by nothing but stars and fireflies, which will definitely make your date here a memorable one!
The food here is really good and healthy here and don't forget to try the pizza!
Looking for somewhere fancy for a nice, delicious meal but don't want to burn a hole in your pocket? Prefer to stay within the Seminyak party area so you'll have options later too? Sardine in Seminyak is definitely another popular option for a date as they serve really good food, with a nice setting (modern, open, clean bamboo building, opening up to a vast view of the beatiful paddy fields).
For those who appreciate healthier food, this restaurant is perfect as they use fresh ingredients and also organic vegetables, harvested right from the restaurant's garden.
p.s. Their arak cocktails are a delicious killer! Might be a catalyst for both you and your date!
If you browse through your date's profile and notice he or she is more of the nature loving sort and slightly more adventurous, why not take your date to the beautiful Resto Apung located in the mystical but picturesque Batur in Kintamani. This Instagram-worthy location sits on the shore of Lake Batur and of course you can opt to have your meal on the floating Gazebo while overlooking the gorgeous, great Mount Batur.
Not just pretty, the restaurant serves a pretty mean list of delicious seafood but their gems are definitely the fried bananas and the fresh fish which is caught from the lake itself.
How about a romantic meal overlooking nothing but endless lush greenery while being perched on the same level as the coconut trees?
Head to the Kampung Cafe in The Kampung Resort in Ubud for a meal with a view! This multi level building is owned and run by a Japanese chef and master woodcarver, hence the beautiful handmade architecture used throughout this restaurant stands out the most.
They have a really good Japanese menu and of course more fusion food which are all exceptionally delicious. (especially the Tuna Tataki!)
