Went here for dinner the other day. The place is quite hidden inside Grand Indo. All in all loved the food. The omakase was about 12 dishes, they were generous with portions. I was super full already by the 8th dish. Highly recommend, although expensive. Perfect for special occassions.
I've been here for dim sum a few times and they do offer a pretty good dim sum brunch on weekends. I haven't tried many dishes on their a la carte menu but will definitely want to come back and try more dishes.
Nowhere near as good as the original in Singapore but decent Italian fare. They had no cheeses at all on a Sat night which is unacceptable for any good Italian restaurant. Veal Milanese was excellent and pastas were good. Not worth the price though as there are equally good Italian options at cheaper prices in Jakarta.
kebetulan nyobain yang fine dinning menu nya, gue n hubby suka banget. tuna tartare nya juicy kaya ada rasa asamnya yg enak dilidah then cobaim duck ravioli nya itu broth nya bener2 kentel banget ampe berbusa. plus great service here bikin nilai plus
Jakarta has been drenched in tropical rain. Stuffing my belly with some good food, that was the purpose of today. So we decided to dine at Gaia. We took the 3 course lunch set; I took: spicy meat balls, chicken milanese, and coffee panna cotta. My husband took: soup of the day, swordfish and coffee panna cotta as well. Taste was good for most food, just felt like they need to put a pinch more salt to our main course. My chicken milanese was a 6, I would say, it was a bit too oily and it needed more of the creamy sauce. The panna cotta tastes good, not sweet and slightly bitter, but as to my own preference, a bit more meringue would be awesome :)
But overall, it was good view, nice service, and worth the trip.
Just one wish, it was a bit too cold, maybe lowering the aircon is not a bad idea 😿
I was looking forward to trying this place for quite sometime and was curious what it would be like. Walking in feels like walking into a club. Secret door, walking through the long fancy hallway and then elevator up to 67th floor.
Japanese food with tapas like dish names. Kinda different and interesting so ordered a variety of nigiri (this is sushi), rolls and a pork confit main.
Gotta say the nigiri in general wasn’t that bad for jakarta and especially the nigiri with foie gras was def worth trying. The otoro and uni were nice(would’ve liked a normal style with seaweed wrapped around).
Tuna, avocado, fried shrimp roll was amazing. Def worth it.
A lot of hope for the Pork confit but was bland and not interesting.
Scallop, truffle purée, Parmesan cheese is also an interesting mix and had to try but the flavors were too weak actually make a difference. Cool fresh scallop is all I can say.
Finished off with Henshin Roll and this unagi, foie gras, shrimp roll is awesome even for the price.
Def tried he rooftop bar which is mainly seating space. The old fashion wasn’t great but the view was pretty great being up so high. Overall I would want rank the place a 3 but def wasn’t an average experience. Worth a try on a special day or with special guests.
If you crave Japanese food but don't eat meat, Akira Back is the place to go. They have an extensive menu for those who are vegetarian! I tried their truffle pizza & the vegetarian tacos, and both were delicious! Bear in mind that you need to specifically ask for the vegetarian menu. Highly recommend Akira Back. Will definitely be returning!
Went here for the second time after going there once when it first opened. Quality has decreased a bit. My angel hair pasta was overdone and not al dente. The ravioli was much better. The bread was not warm though it's still quite tasty. Good thing their Service was great. The waiters were attentive and quick on their feet.
The free flow wine was nice too :) Stayed there for a few hours just having a great conversation and drinking our vino!
I always like coming back to this restaurant because service is always good and food is also consistent. They also have regular specials so you never run out of new things to try. I recently tried the truffled angel hair pasta for the first time and it was great. Highly recommended!
